2 strikes and your out...
I give restaurants two tries before I make a decision if I am going to return again. This one almost got one. The first time I ate their the service was terrible and the portions of food were tiny, I thought it was an appetizer. I will say they were tasty though. I spoke to the manager about this and got a less than ideal response. Six months later I returned to see if the service and quantity had improved and it was the same as before. Again the manager was spoken to by myself and the waitress with a simple shrug of the shoulders response. I dont think this restaurant will last long, given the empty spaces in the parking lot, which is a shame because we needed a good restaurant in this location. Grappa is off the list.
Needs Work
I have eaten at Grappa no less than 10 times and I have watched as the quality of service and food have slowly gone from great to not good. The service was only ok in the begining, but the food was awesome, but in the last two months I have had two horrible servers, one plate of pasta was cold and another time I was told that the item I chose from the menu was unavailible because they hadn't thawed enough servings of it. So I wouldn't suggest this restaurant to anyone. I'm really sorry to have to write such a bad review, but what was once my favorite restaurant in North County has become a place where my girlfriend refuses to go and I can't blame her.
